2022
The Vision Begins
Inspired by the need for a dedicated space for senior pets, Slowpaw Acres was conceptualized to provide a loving home for older dogs and cats.
2023
Funding & Preparations for Slowpaw Acres
We started securing private funding and creating a plan.
2024
Acquisition of Facilities
With growing support, we expanded our facilities with the purcahse of 10 acres of forrested property in the heart of the Interlake.
Late 2024
Expansion
We modified the existing stucture and built a 300 sq ft indoor Catio, and installed 5 Cat towers, build an elevated feed station. Adding facilities for both cats and dogs for addtional safety, care and comfort.
2025
Catio Expansion and Swim Facilities
We installed a fully screened 300 sq ft outdoor Catio along with 3 outdoor cat tower and litter box. We also complete the 650 sq ft swimming pond with filters and bubblers to keep the dogs freash and clean.
Mid 2025
Attained our Non-Profit Charity Status
With the formalization of our Non-Profit Charity, we can now accept Donations, Pet Sponsorships, apply for Staffing Grants and provide annual tax reciepts.

Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that each resident receives personalized care, proper veterinary attention, and plenty of affection.
